Food Allergies Part 2
In the first of a 4 part series regarding common food allergies, I went into all the names of corn and how corn can affect a person ‘s health negatively if they are sensitive to it. In this segment we cover Milk and all it’s wholesome, well almost, goodness. Some people will actually have lactose intolerance which usually expresses as digestive problems like bloating, gas, abdominal cramping, pain and nausea. Other more insidious milk allergies express themselves in the skin with rashes like eczema and most forms of dermatitis. The other main expression of this allergy is respiratory dysfunctions like asthma, shortness of breath, wheezing, chronic bronchitis and other general lung weaknesses. Getting milk out of the diet of those who have any of the above mentioned problems will help their quality of life tremendously. Here are some products that have milk in them:
Milk
Cheese (all kinds)
Butter, buttermilk, margarine
Yogurt
Cream, sour cream
Kefir
Ice cream
Chocolate
Salad dressings
Pastries
Snack foods with butter or cheese flavorings (even if they’re artificial)
Soups (canned and dried)
Canned tuna (often contains casein)
Deli meats
Whey, bread, baked goods
Casein (a milk protein found in many “non-dairy products”
Candies, custards
Antibiotics (come from a milk based culture)
Advair–milk based
